Police investigate body found in Northside home

VIDEO: JSO is still on scene of a northside home after a body was found there late Saturday night. Neighbors say the area is normally quite and they are shocked that it happened.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police are investigating after finding a 47-year-old man dead inside a Northside home early Sunday morning.

Just after midnight, officers were sent to a home on Carthage Drive between Barcliff Road and Elmhurst Drive to check on a person family members could not contact.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says officers found Bryan Edwards dead inside the house.

Detectives say there are suspicious circumstances involving the death.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS. You can remain anonymous and you could be eligible for a cash reward.
