JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Two women are being sought after a man was shot in Northwest Jacksonville on Tuesday, according to Jacksonville police.

Officers said a man in his late 40s or early 50s was shot in the upper body in the 3000 block of North Detroit Circle just before noon.

The man was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said they don't know if the man was shot inside or outside his home.

They said two women walked up and started arguing with the man, and one pulled out a handgun and shot him.

Police said they were called by a third party who arrived later.

Anyone with any information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
