JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Duval County inmate suffering from terminal cancer died Wednesday night at UF Health Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police said 69-year-old Harold Hoover was taken to the hospital for chest pains and shortness of breath. They said he had a do not resuscitate order on record due to his cancer diagnosis.

As a result, the doctor did not perform rescue efforts and Hoover died, police said.
Hoover was in jail on a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child younger than 12.
