JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash involving an SUV and a pickup truck Tuesday night on the Westside that killed a 17-year-old.

Police said an SUV with three people inside was coming off Interstate 10 and heading south on Greeland Avenue near Ramona Boulevard West.

The SUV ran a stop sign at that intersection and struck a pickup truck. Officials said that impact caused the SUV to lose control and flip onto its roof.

Police said Syndeya Adams was ejected from the SUV and died at the scene. Police said she was not wearing a seat belt.

Two other people in the SUV suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were questioned by police.

The driver of the truck was taken to a local hospital Tuesday night with non-life-threatening injuries.
