Police: JSO cruiser rear-ends vehicle

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A Jacksonville police cruiser rear-ended another vehicle Monday afternoon on Interstate 10 at Interstate 295.

Police said both vehicles were heading eastbound and the vehicle in front slowed to merge onto I-295. Police said the officer failed to stop in time and rear-ended the vehicle.

The driver of the first vehicle was transported to Baptist Medical Center downtown, complaining of neck injuries.

The officer was not hurt.
