GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. -

A 26-year-old Brunswick man was arrested Wednesday on two felony counts of robbery by sudden snatching and one misdemeanor count of obstruction.

The charges against David Greer stem from an incident about 9:20 p.m. Sunday when it was reported that someone had snatched a woman's purse from her shopping cart as she was loading groceries into her vehicle at the Winn-Dixie on Altama Avenue, according to police.

Police said a similar incident occurred the next day at about 6:20 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot on Altama Connector. It was reported that the victim was walking to her vehicle pushing a shopping cart and a man ran up behind her on foot and snatched her purse and ran to a waiting car that fled away, according to police.

Police said this case is still under investigation and further arrests are expected.

Anyone with any information about either of the robberies is asked to call Investigator Chris Lowther at 912-554-7807 or Silent Witness at 912-264-1333.
