Missing elderly woman found

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The family of a 79-year-old woman who was reported missing since Tuesday morning says she was found.

Mae Eva Johnson's family told Channel 4 that she was found Wednesday night.

Johnson left her home in Northwest Jacksonville on Tuesday at 10 a.m. to run errands. She did not take her cellphone with her.

Police actively searched for Johnson throughout the day.

Johnson was found shortly after a Silver Alert was issued Wednesday evening.
