Two teens were arrested Wednesday in connection with a car burglary.

According to Lake City police, the two were caught in the act of burglarizing the vehicle by the owner, who confronted both suspects. At that time both suspects took off on foot, police said.

The victim, 23-year-old Jena Page, ran after the suspects, but they got away, police said.

Page notified police of the burglary and was able to provide officers physical and clothing descriptions.

The suspects were apprehended after an officer patrolling the area found the two males who matched Page's description.

The suspects were identified as 16-year-old Zachary Thebo and 18-year-old Brandon Casagrand.

Page positively identified the suspects and her items were immediately recovered, police said.

Thebo and Casagrand were both arrested and booked in Columbia County Detention Center.
