She then approached the self-checkout line and began scanning items. Ross scanned 17 items and paid $40.76, but she failed to scan 47 additional items for a total of $354.05, police said.

Officers said Ross tried to leave the store when she was stopped.

She told police she thought she paid for everything and did not realize she was leaving the store with an extra $354.05 in merchandise.

Ross was charged with grand theft and booked into the Duval County jail.
