COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -

A 24-year-old Columbia County school nurse was arrested Tuesday after deputies said she stole prescription medicine from the school.

Marilee Boozer, an employee of Pinemount Elementary School, is charged with theft and possession of a controlled substance.

She was booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility with a bond of $5000.

Deputies said the investigation began Friday at the request of the Columbia County School Board and school principle when they learned of missing medication.

The school had received information from a parent that some of their child's medication was missing.

Deputies said the investigation is ongoing.
