A 5-year-old horse that was found wandering the streets earlier this month in Middleburg will be auctioned off this week.

The brown, female horse known as Queen was taken in and cared for by Animal Control after attempts at finding her owner went unanswered.

The auction will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Animal Control center at 3984 State Route 16 West.

Anyone with any questions may call Clay County sheriff's Sgt. Mark Tate at 904-213-6085.
