Nunn went on to tell the officers he appreciated the job they were doing.  According to the officers, they were visibly tired and dirty at the time after spending hours on the search for the missing toddler, Lonzie Barton.

The lodge says Nunn stopped to talk to the officers before leaving. What the officers didn't know was Nunn paid the bill for the officers' dinner as he left.

"Hats off to you Mr. Nunn. Your kindness stunned our members and your support is very much appreciated," posted the FOP Lodge.
