JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The mast of a sailboat hit the Main Street Bridge just after noon Thursday.

Coast Guard Station Mayport crew members responded, as did Jacksonville Fire-Rescue crews to help tow the boat to a landing area at River City Brewing Company on the Southbank.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission crews were also on scene.

Officials said the two mariners aboard the Celer did not report any injuries. Officials said no damage to the bridge was reported.

The Florida Department of Transportation was called to assess the bridge.
