LAKE BUTLER, Fla. -

The Union County Sheriff's Office says it caught a man accused of shooting a mother and daughter early Saturday morning.

The Sheriff's Office says it responded to a domestic disturbance call on Seventh Avenue and found a woman and her child were shot.  The two victims, whose names were not released, were transported to UF Health in Gainesville in stable condition.

Deputies issued a warrant for Lavar Mills, 35, a Jacksonville man.  A tip from citizens led to his capture about 11 a.m. Saturday. He was charged with two counts of attempted murder.
