TAMPA, Fla. -

The relatives of two officers shot and killed in Tampa want the man responsible to be sentenced to death.

A jury found Donte Morris guilty of killing two police officers during a traffic stop. The jury suggested he face the death penalty.

He was convicted of first-degree murder in November.

The two officers shot and killed were David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab.  Family members of both men said they want Morris put to death.

Morris is said to have low intellectual ability.

The judge will sentence Morris in the summer.  He said his decision will not be affected by what relatives want.
