JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Jacksonville's Stanton College Preparatory School is getting more national recognition.

The school has earned a high ranking on U.S. News and World Report's list of the nation's best high schools.

The academic magnet ranked 12th in the country and second in the state of Florida.

One of the factors in the rankings was how students performed on Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams, which can earn students college credit.

At Stanton, all seniors took an AP exam, and all passed an AP exam.

One other Jacksonville school ranked among the top 100 nationwide.

Paxon School for Advanced Studies ranked 86th in the country and 11th in Florida.
