JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Students from First Coast High School's International Trade and Logistics Academy participated in a scavenger hunt and ate a four-course meal aboard the Carnival Fascination cruise ship on Monday with Jaxport leadership and employee mentors.

The students have been mentored by Jaxport employees as part of the Beyond School Walls program, which includes visiting Jaxport once a month and learning about careers in and around the port. The program is a partnership with Jaxport, Duval County Public Schools and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida.

Jaxport CEO Brian Taylor and Duval County Public Schools Superintendent Nikolai Vitti took part in the event, which also included a $7,000 check presentation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida for the program.
