Gate store robber sought by police

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a man they believe was involved in an armed robbery in April.

On April 25 at 3:40 a.m., an armed robbery occurred at the Gate gas station at 7211 Merrill Road in the Arlington Hills area.

Police said the robber was holding a black shirt over his face. They said he pointed a silver handgun at the store clerks and demanded money. The suspect was given money and fled in a maroon or red newer vehicle.

Anyone with information about the identity or location of the robber is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or email JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.
