The preliminary investigation revealed two possible suspects who were possibly involved in an altercation with the victim, which escalated into gunfire, and named Zachary Elijah Mizell and Wymane Mekel Glover, -- both 22 of St Marys -- as suspects.

On Friday, as detectives continued meeting with witnesses and gathering information, Glover came to the police department, was questioned and released.

Investigation say the shooting occurred when a fight broke out during a narcotic transaction between the three men.  Detectives say at one point a gun was pointed at Mizell, so he pulled his own weapon and fired shots at Freeman.

Detectives convinced Mizell, accompanied by his attorney, to come in for an interview.  Based on the information and evidence gathered by the detectives and working the District Attorney's Office, Mizell was arrested on charges of criminal attempt to purchase narcotics  and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
