Man found dead by Westside dumpster

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said there are no indications of foul play in the death of a man whose body was found next to a dumpster on the Westside early Friday morning.

Homicide detectives were called to the Chevron gas station on 5875 San Juan Avenue, off Hyde Park Road, in reference to a suspicious death around 4:18 a.m.

Police said a white man in his mid-30s was found dead by the dumpster.

Two hours into the investigation, police said there were no indications of foul play and that the cause of death would be determined by the medical examiner.

The man's identity has not yet been released.

JSO said the death is not a criminal investigation.
