JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police are investigating after a 19-year-old Jacksonville man was shot in the leg Tuesday night.

Officers said Richard Douglas showed up at Baptist Medical Center with a gunshot wound.

Douglas told police he was driving on Golfair Boulevard and got onto Interstate 95 south when a car pulled alongside and someone fired as many as 10 shots.

Douglas said he got off I-95 at Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and flagged down another car, and four people he didn't know took him to the hospital.

The teen's leg was fractured but he was in stable condition, according to a police report.

Anyone with any information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
