OCALA, Fla. -

Two teens are facing charges after deputies say they vandalized a middle school near Ocala and severely injured a sheep in a livestock shelter on the campus.

The Ocala Star-Banner reports school officials found the damage when they arrived on Monday morning.

Officials say the teens once attended the school and are currently attending alternative schools.

According to the sheriff's office, a sheep was shot in the head with a bow and arrow, stabbed in the neck with a pitchfork and hit in the head with a cement block. The animal was taken to a veterinary hospital and is expected to survive.

The teens face charges ranging from burglary, grand theft and animal cruelty.

The boys told deputies they broke into the school "to do something crazy."
