Jennifer Greene appears in court.

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -

An 18-year-old woman arrested last month after a video appeared to show her and another teenage girl torturing a tortoise pleaded not guilty Wednesday to felony animal cruelty and causing the death of a gopher tortoise, a misdemeanor.

Jennifer Greene and Danielle Dionne, 15, posted a video showing the tortoise being lit on fire, thrown on the concrete and being stomped on until it died. The video went viral on Facebook.

Greene's bond was reduced Wednesday from $55,000 to $5,500. No new court date has been set.

Greene is also facing an unrelated charge of lewd and lascivious battery on a younger child.

According to the Clay County Sheriff's Office arrest report, Greene "made friends" with a younger boy and then had sexual contact with him. The incident allegedly occurred in June, seven days before Greene turned 18.

The report says the younger victim and Greene began playing hide-and-seek in a backyard. The victim told deputies he initiated the sexual activity and she complied.
