Lanes of Interstate 95 southbound at State Road 206 south of St. Augustine reopened about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, hours after after two separate crashes involving tractor-trailers.
The first crash occurred around 4 a.m. Two hours later just a couple miles south, another tractor-trailer crashed.
I-95 southbound at State Road 206 was completely closed and traffic was diverted to U.S. 1.

Authorities haven't released many details on the first crash, but the second occurred when a truck driver from Jacksonboro, S.C., failed to slow for tractor-trailer from Sarasota that had slowed to a near stop at Mile Marker 313. The driver of the first rig, 49-year-old Darryl Washington, was taken to Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers said both rigs involve in the second crash sustained about $15,000 in damages.
Hazardous materiel crews were dispatched to the area to clear the fuel that leaks from one of the tractors and crews are also working to clear the debris blocking the southbound lanes of I-95 left from the crashes.
FHP is still investigating the details behind the wrecks.
