Two men were arrested overnight after police said they were placing stickers around Jacksonville Beach that read: "Townies Go Home."

Organizers for the Stars & Stripes at Seawalk event for July 4th were getting ready early Thursday morning and noticed the men placing stickers around the area.  The organizers called police around 5 a.m.

Jason Swanson, 34, and Matthew Sugden-Kirsch, 31, both of Jacksonville Beach, were arrested for criminal mischief.  Swanson made the stickers, according to the Jacksonville Beach Police Department.

As of 10:30 a.m. Thursday, both remained in jail.

Between 50,000 and 100,000 people were expected to attend Thursday's events at the beach.  Click here for more information on the schedule.
