TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. -

The mayor of Tybee Island says there is "no chance" for a nude friendly section of beach.

WTOV-TV reports Shawn Williams created a petition asking for Tybee city officials to make part of the beach clothing optional.  His petition received 861 signatures.

Tybee island Mayor Jason Buelterman says as long as he's in office there is no way part of Georgia's largest public beach will become clothing optional.  He did say he's willing to speak to Williams.

Williams doesn't plan to stop fighting for a section of a nude beach.  Buelterman says he wants to keep the beach family friendly.
