Volunteers give Boys and Girls Club makeover

Volunteers from Comcast are working together and making a difference for a Boys and Girls Club in the Springfield area.

Outside you could see benches, picnic tables and other equipment were showing signs of age. Some things were rusty and corroded. On the inside, paint was chipping and some of the walls were marked.

But Saturday, helpers of all ages got together and turned that around, giving the club a makeover.

Outside, the grounds were spruced up with a few layers of new mulch. Volunteers even planted a vegetable garden.

The inside got a fresh coat of paint and a whole lot of sweeping and shining.

It was all an effort to ensure a good environment for the kids and teens who walk through the doors everyday.
