The volunteers helped plant a vegetable garden and flowers, painted and mulched areas of the playground, lined a football field, and assembled and stocked a food pantry. Kids also helped by painting decorative pebbles for the new gardens.

Nemours is one of the nation's largest pediatric health care organizations in the nation and is headquartered in Jacksonville.

The Normandy Community Center hosts an after-school program, summer camp and food pantry.
