JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

An overhead walkway connecting the Duval County Courthouse to what will eventually be the state attorney's office is on schedule to be built by the end of the year.

The walkway will link the third floor of the courthouse to the third floor of the old federal courthouse, which is being renovated for the state attorney.

The city says the entire project is on schedule and should be done in late November or early December.

The covered walkway should be done by the end of March.

The entire project will cost $32 million. The walkway accounts for about $1 million of that.
