Westside bank robber sought

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Police are trying to identify a man who robbed a Westside bank just after noon Monday.

Officers said the man went into Synovus Bank in the 900 block of South Lane Avenue and demanded cash but did not display a weapon. After the robbery, he fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The robber is described as a black man dressed as woman with a curly wig, large sunglasses and brown clothes.

Anyone with any information on his identity is asked to call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
