FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -

A 60-year-old woman died Tuesday night when she was hit by a car while riding her bike in Flagler County.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, 49-year-old Stephen Sills of Ontario, Canada, was driving north on State Road A1A, south of Beverly Beach Camptown.

Jacqueline Middleton was riding a bicycle across the northbound lane of A1A about 9 p.m. and, according to the report, Sills didn't see Middleton in the roadway.

The front of Sills' car hit Middleton, who died at the scene. Sills was not injured in the crash.

FHP is investigating the crash, including whether alcohol played a factor.
