GAINESVILLE, Fla. -

The Florida Highway Patrol said a woman riding a bike is recovering from serious injuries after an accident with a dump truck in Alachua County near State Road 24 and NW 47 Street around 9:15 p.m Friday.

That woman has been identified as 49-year-old Leah Stocking.  Troopers say she was taken to UF Health Shands.

RE Arnold Construction has a project on the north side of State Road 24 and NW 47 Street.

Troopers say the dump truck, driven by Henry Dennard, belonged to RE Arnold Construction and was exiting the job site on NW 47 Street, approaching the intersection of State Road 24.

The driver of the dump truck made a right turn onto westbound State Road 24, when Stocking attempted to cross NW 47th Street.

The front left of the dump truck hit Stocking, according to troopers.  Stocking was not wearing a helmet.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say charges are pending.
