ELKTON, Fla. -

A 25-year-old woman was airlifted in serious condition after a crash in St. Johns County on Monday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to the FHP report, Mariah Jones was traveling southbound in a Honda Civic in the left lane of State Road 207 near County Road 305 in Elkton. A Toyota Sienna driven by 68-year-old Thomas Cushman stopped at the intersection on CR 305 but then traveled into the path of Jones' vehicle on SR 207.

Jones swerved left to avoid Cushman's vehicle, according to FHP, and the front of the Civic hit the left side of the Sienna.

Jones was taken to Flagler Hospital and then airlifted to UF Health Jacksonville in serious condition.
