FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -

A 23-year-old Palm Coast woman died Sunday night when a car went off a rural road in western Flagler County, struck some trees and overturned in a water-filled ditch, according to the Florida Highway Patrol

It happened at 10:30 p.m. when the Toyota Solara was going north on County Road 2007 near County Road 110.

Troopers said Brianna Bellon died at the scene.  Two other Palm Coast residents made it out of the car and went to a nearby home to call police.

According to the FHP report, no one in the vehicle was wearing seat belts and investigators have not determined if Bellon was the driver or a passenger in the car.

The FHP says the accident was alcohol related and charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
