JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A woman driving at a high speed northbound on San Jose Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon slammed her SUV into a tractor-trailer as it was backing into a business, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police said other motorists were honking at the woman before the crash, which happened about 1:30 p.m. just north of Julington Creek Road in Mandarin.

The woman, whose identity was not immediately released, had to be cut out of the SUV. She was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said they don't know why she was going so fast or why she failed to see the big rig.

All lanes but one southbound on San Jose were closed for about two and a half hours after the crash.
