ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -

U.S. 1 in northern St. Johns County in the Nocatee area is scheduled to be closed overnight during the week of February 24th because of work on the new County Road 210 overpass.

Beginning Sunday night at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning, all four lanes of U.S. 1 will be closed to allow the new overpass bridge beams to be placed over the roadway. The closures will continue each night through Thursday.

Traffic will be detoured to Valley Ridge Boulevard and Nocatee Parkway (map attached).

Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is overseeing the construction of an overpass for County Road 210 traffic to travel over U.S. 1 and the adjacent FEC Railroad. The $9.9 million project began last March and 60 percent of the work has been completed with an expected completion this summer, depending on weather or other unforeseen conditions.

For the latest closures and updates, use www.FL511.com or follow the Florida Department of Transportation District Two on Twitter at @MyFDOT_NEFL.
