TITUSVILLE, Fla. -

Officials say a yacht that caught fire Thursday at the Kennedy Point Yacht Club was possibly started by a lightning strike.

Fire and emergency crews were able to knock out most of the fire, but had to hold off due to severe weather that moved through the area.

Nick Johnson, who has been living on the 40-foot yacht for 18 months, was gone picking up a prescription when the fire started.

Firefighters were unable to rescue Johnson's 6-year-old dog.

Officials said four other boats were impacted by the fire and three were a complete loss.
