Panhandle woman wins title of Miss Florida USA

A Panhandle woman was crowned Miss Florida USA in the pageant held Saturday night.
Ashleigh Lollie, of Grand Ridge -- Miss Emerald Coast -- earned the title in the annual pageant at Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale televised on The Local Station.
Seventy women were vying for the crown. First runner-up in the pageant was Miss Central Florida Kailyn Perez; second runner-up was Miss Capital City Jessica Voight; third runner-up was Miss Orange County Lacey Morgan; fourth runner-up was Miss Lake Eola Heather Martin.
Miss Jacksonville, Sara Rogers, made it into the top 16 finalists.
Lollie goes on to represent Florida in the Miss USA pageant next year. A win there would earn her a spot at Miss Universe.
