3 missing children seen in Lake City

Children believed to be with 32-year-old Carrie Weingarth

MIAMI – Police continue to search for three missing children who were last seen in the Lake City area.

Police believe Erin Pena, 12, Steven Pena, 8, and Derick Pena, 7, may be with 32-year-old Carrie Weingarth. Weingarth shares custody of the two younger boys but not the oldest one.

Investigators said she walked into Erin's school office and was told she was not authorized to take him, but somehow found a way to get inside and take him from the cafeteria.

The children were last seen in the 2000 block of U.S. Highway 90 West in Lake City, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

They may be traveling in a 2014 white Nissan Altima with Florida license plate No. U291LR.

Erin was last seen wearing a blue Polo shirt, khaki pants and gray and orange tennis shoes.

Weingarth was described as 5 feet 1 inches tall, 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
