Connie Mack and John McCain make a stop in Atlantic Beach.

Traveling the state on what he calls a "freedom tour," Republican U.S. Senate candidate Connie Mack made a pit stop in Atlantic Beach on Tuesday.

He rallied supporters at the American Legion, with help from Arizona Sen. John McCain.

Mack promised that if elected, he'd repeal "Obamacare." He said his opponent, Sen. Bill Nelson, is not doing enough for Florida.

McCain agreed, telling voters Mack is the right man to take over the job. If he gets it, Mack believes it's the budget that needs to be tackled first. He said he hopes voters will side with him.

"I believe in personal responsibility, personal liberty, personal freedom," Mack said. "We're going to put this government back on its heels to stand up and fight for the people of this state and this country."

"The people of Florida will be given a choice: Do you want more of the same of the last four years, or do you want change in Washington (D.C.) that will bring about fiscal sanity and will protect our children and our grandchildren?" McCain said.

After the event in Atlantic Beach, Mack continued his tour in Pensacola, followed by Tampa, clearly trying to make as many campaign stops as possible before Election Day.
