Conveyor belt of mositure bringing in the rains

Rains start along Gulf coast and then reaches the beaches by the afternoon hours...

The same old situations continues, as unusually strong cool fronts drop in from the Great Lakes fail to "clear the coast", but rather get hung up in South Georgia.  The result is a southwesterly wind that ushers in deep tropical moisture and funnels it right towards Jacksonville.

Rainfall amounts have not been spectacular, generally under 2".  What has been spectacular have been the clouds and the frequency of the showers and storms.  "Early and Often" motto remains in effect.  Keep the umbrella handy and watch for potentially heavy rains the next two days.
