JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The Jaguars will open the 2014 preseason at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the week of Aug. 7-10, then play at Chicago and Detroit before returning to host the Atlanta Falcons the last week of August.

The Chicago game will be nationally televised by ESPN at 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14.  The other three Jaguars preseason games will be seen on Channel 4, The Local Station -- now the official television station of the Jaguars.

All four preseason games are with NFC opponents.

The dates and kickoff times of the other games are yet to be determined.

The final preseason game will likely be played on or around August 28.

The Jaguars went 1-3 last preseason.

The NFL’s regular-season schedule is typically announced in mid-April.
