The New York Islanders signed unrestricted free-agent forwards Mikhail Grabovski and Nikolai Kulemin to four-year contracts on Wednesday.

Grabovski's deal is worth $20 million and Kulemin is estimated at $16.75 million, according to Newsday.

The former Toronto Maple Leafs teammates were separated last year, with Grabovski playing for the Washington Capitals and Kulemin remaining in Toronto.

The 30-year-old Grabovski totaled 35 points (13 goals, 22 assists) in 58 games for the Capitals in 2013-14. He has 252 points in 425 career NHL games.

The 27-year-old Kulemin had 20 points in 70 games for the Maple Leafs last season, boosting his career total to 195 points in 421 games.

Their best seasons came together with the Maple Leafs in 2010-11 when Kulemin scored 30 goals and Grabovski had 29.

According to NHL.com, Grabovski could be the center on the Islanders' second line next season with Kulemin possibly on the left wing.
