JU beats Florida Christian 89-66

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Dylan Fritsch scored 14 of his 18 points and hit four 3-pointers in the first half of Jacksonville's 89-66 win over Florida Christian of the National Christian College Athletic Association on Monday.
   
Marcellous Bell came off the bench for 12 points, Glenn Powell had 11 and Keith McDougald and Javon Dawson added 10 apiece for the Dolphins.
   
Powell and McDougald each tallied four steals for Jacksonville (4-5), which finished with 18 as a team and has posted five or more steals in every game this season.
   
Jacksonville opened the game on a 14-5 run and led 37-21 behind a Fritsch 3-pointer at the 8:53 mark of the first half.
   
The Dolphins led 57-35 at halftime and extended their lead to 31, 73-42, in the second half.
   
Jacksonville improved 4-0 this season when they lead at the half.
   
A.J. Williams led Florida Christian (9-3) with 17 points.
