Offense shines in JU Spring Game

The Green team defeated the White team 26-20 on Saturday at the annual Spring Game this Saturday at D.B. Milne Field.

The Green team was headed by QB Kade Bell, who had 14 completions for 238 yards and two touchdowns and WR Andrew Robustelli who finished with four catches for 87 yards and a touchdown. DL Juan Pimienta also a big impact on the defensive side for the Green team registering a sack for safety.

WR Dorian Guy stood out for the White team catching six passes for 168 yards. DB Andre Addison added an interception while, and DL Luidji Michel stood out defensively for the White team.
The Green team struck first with a 14-yard pass from Ryan Walker to Robusteli. White answered back on a two-yard rush by QB Patrick McCain. The score was set up by a 42-yard pass from McCain to Guy.

Brandon Behr broke the tie with a 30-yard field goal making it 10-7 green at half.
Coming out of the break, the green team struck again on a 18-yard TD pass from Bell to Adrian Riley. White then closed the gap as Dylan Lynch hit a 50-yard field goal.
Pimienta's safety which followed a key Behr punt that pinned the White at the four-yard line, would put the green team up 19-10.
The white team began their comeback with a 60-yard interception returned for a touchdown by Terrance Bryant with 9 minutes to go.

With a minute and a half to go, Lynch hit a 43 yard field goal to give the white team their first lead of the game 20-19. Lynch pushed the first attempt left but got a second shot at it after the green team was penalized for rushing the kicker.
With 1:27 to go, Bell lead the green team offense down the field and capped of the drive with a 26-yard td pass to Robustelli with 6.6 seconds on the clock.

"There is a purpose here with this team," head coach Kerwin Bell said. "They've worked extremely hard. I liked how they competed today."

"We worked hard all spring and were pushed to the limit, I'm glad its over," junior DB Andre Addison. "We wont get off our grind, were continually trying to get better.".
