Nashville Predators right wing Sergei Kostitsyn has a signed a contract with Avangard Omsk of Kontinental Hockey League, the Russian club announced.

Kostitsyn's signing comes on the heels of the NHL cancelling the first two weeks of the regular season because of its labor dispute with its players association.

Kostitsyn scored 17 goals with 26 assists in 75 games last season. He has 64 career goals in 304 career NHL games.

Other NHL players on Omsk include Columbus defenseman Nikita Nikitin and former NHL players Alexander Frolov, Martin Skoula, and Karri Ramo.

Recently, Kostitsyn's brother, Andrei Kostitsyn, signed with KHL rival Traktor Chelyabinsk.
