Head Coach Anthony Candelino, in his fourth year at Bolles, isn't surprised at the play of his team but the results have been unexpected.

"It's magical but you know what? I'm not surprised. We've had kids who bought into what we want to get accomplished here, bought into our system and have really given us everything that we have. Am I surprised at 22-0? Yes. But I'm not surprised we're having the success we are," Candelino said.

Bolles basketball has not won a state title since winning back to back titles in 1988 and 1989. Playing at a school with multiple state championships in multiple sports has provided motivation according to senior point guard Deshawn Ruffin.

"We want to put paint up there. I wanted to put that on our t-shirts. We want to put paint up there, get a state championship, go all the way," Ruffin said.
