Clay ended Ribault's season in the first round of the playoffs. The Blue Devils pounded the ball against Ribault's defense. The Trojans scored two late touchdowns, but it was too little too late. Clay ran away with the win, 29-12.

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -

On their opening drive, the Blue Devils Bilal Ali takes off for 32 yards and a touchdown.

The 2-point conversion by QB Wes Weeks is good, and it's 8-0 Clay early.

In the 2nd quarter now with the Devils facing 4th and 1, Ali breaks one for 30 yards, down to the Ribault 7.

Same drive, 4th down the snap goes directly to JT Turner and he goes 4 yards for the touchdown.

Jumping ahead to the 4th quarter, down by 22 the Trojans get something going. DJ Gillians takes off on 4th down and takes it down to the Clay 8 before he's knocked out of bounds.

Then Gillans keeps it again and scores on an 8 yard run. He had two touchdowns on the night, but unfortunately it wasn't enough.

The Clay Blue Devils came up with the win, 29-12.

"It's a great victory for the program. Defensively we came out and played really well and our offense has been outstanding all season long. We had to win the game up front and that's what happened tonight," said Blue Devils head coach Josh Hoesktra.

Clay advances to meet Bishop Kenny next Friday night in the second round of the Class 5A bracket.
