FSU tops Miami 63-53

CORAL GABLES – In a game that featured 14 lead changes and seven ties, FSU finished strong with a 13-2 run in the final 3:48 as the Seminoles topped Miami 63-53.

The Hurricanes led 51-50 with 4:07 to play thanks to a Rion Brown 3-pointer. But it was all Florida State the rest of the way. Ian Miller scored five of his ten points in the final two minutes and the Seminoles improved to 12 and 4 on the season including 3 and 1 in ACC play. The Canes fell to 9 and 7 on the year and just 1 and 3 in conference play.

Donnavan Kirk scored a game-high 21 points for the Canes in a losing effort.

Florida State's road trip continues on Saturday as the Seminoles take on Virginia at 12 PM. Miami travels to Georgia Tech on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 2 PM.
