JACKSONVILLE – Blaine Gabbert was limited in Wednesday's practice as the Jaguars continued preparations for the Kansas City Chiefs. The third-year quarterback participated in some team drills for the first time since suffering a hairline fracture on his right thumb on August 17th against the New York Jets.
"I thought he did a nice job," head coach Gus Bradley said after practice. "For being out a couple of weeks and getting back into the rhythm of it, I thought I saw some glimpses where he was able to get back into more of a rhythm."

It still remains to be seen if Gabbert will start the team's season opener on Sunday. Gus Bradley would not say if Gabbert needs to be completely healed in order to play against the Chiefs.
"I don't know if the pain is going to be gone," Bradley said. "I don't know if that's going to happen. It may be. But I imagine with something like that, he's going to have a little bit of pain in there."
"You can't worry about it," Gabbert said. "In practice you can't worry about it because you're thinking about something that's really not relevant when you're going through a play, a progression or a read. I imagine on game day it won't even be a thought in my mind."
